With Stephen Roche is comments about riders not fastening up there jerseys I've a vague recollection of a rider winning a Tour stage alone at Alp D'huez, he crossed the line with his jersey unzipped and when asked why he didn't fasten it up for the photo replied along the lines of "would have been more embarrassing to fall fastening the jersey so I kept my hands on the bars". Does this ring any bell for anybody and if so any idea who it was?
