I'd agree with both those proposals. Noobs like to have an opportunity to post where they won't be flamed or ridiculed or feel inadequate .Its the main reason why you have so many lurkers on technical sites like this.
If we only listed the various popular groupsets in order of cost and No of gears it would be very helpful .Its a bit of a minefield to spec a new bike for the uninitiated first time buyer/rider
An updated list of the most popular bikes available from say up to Ł200 Ł300 Ł400 and Ł500 would be useful too with links to reviews and bike shops selling them at the best price
