London Cycling

I was in the capital today, we took Beryl the Elder to the Natural History Museum, then went on the London Eye and looked at Big Ben etc.

There were lots of buses and taxis in both locations, and also a lot of cyclists (didn't spot Dave or Boris though).
But there were hardly any private cars. Has the congestion charge and other changes really changed the transport situation in London?

I don't visit London enough to know, but would be interested to hear from those who do.
