CG Optics sunglasses. under £10 lasted a couple of crashes, been squashed a few times and dropped on almost a daily basis. they are the mutts nuts and stay on like they're made of superglue.
only drawback of them being slightly difficult to see too much at sunset/dusk time. but well worth it for £10

I appreciate its very sunny in Scotland, but this time of year is surely time to stop wearing them, if you do, I don't. Although Daddy long legs might be bothering you.

i don't wear them for sunshine. i wear them to stop the bloody flies bees wasps and suspicious black round furry things, that land on the bars in the time it takes to lift your hand to rub your head and place it (your hand) back on the bars, from getting in my eyes and a damn good job too.
had 2 very near eye experiences with wasps yesterday, one being hard enough to force me to hit the brakes for no reason.

I'm with Cattlegrid on this one - though I wear clear lenses as I don't like depriving my body of the knowledge that it's sunny (when it is!) and my immune system is required to protect me.

Rudy Project. Lot's of different styles, and all have interchangeable lenses. Also, the spare lenses are a lot cheaper than Oakleys. I've worn both M-Frames and Rudy Rydons, and much prefer the latter.

Oakley Flak Jackets with red and orange mirrored lenses...they scare the c**p out of drivers. Expensive, but I bought them in the States where they are about a third as much as here. Had lots of pairs of cheaper ones, but unfortunately none as good. Wear them every day, come rain or shine. In fact I'm wearing them right now.

Half Jackets, Radar or M Frame.
Polorised or whatever it is Oakley call them and you have glasses for (nearly) all condition.

Why does no one manufacture good looking prescription sunglasses ? Anything I've seen makes you look too much like Alex Zulle !

johnscrack - Try asking your optician for Nike or Adidas prescription sports/sunglasses. I have a pair of Nike sports glasses with reactive lenses which have been very good. Had them about two years. For this summer I purchased a pair of Adidas, which are even better. Again, reactive lenses, so dark when you need dark and come clear quite quickly when you stumble into the pub.
I believe Oakley also do this kind of thing, but my optician does not do them.
PS I dont look like Alex Zulle, but when the Zulle type glasses first came out I rushed to get a set (rather than a pair). They were a relevation at the time, but yes they did look silly and were a bit of a pain for steaming up.

Rudy Projects have inserts that sit behind the lens for prescriptions. Means you can wear the same glasses as everyone else, with all the choice of lens types, with just a little extra to pay at the beginning.

Have a look at PBK they have some of the ones with 5 sets of lens for £14.00. I got some and they work well allowing for different conditions of light while protecting your eyes. A little bit strange when you take them off having worn them for a while as the light changes colour.
