maybe as we would be doing it under the CW name, they could show more of an interest, afterall, it would be great publicity for them.
I quite agree. Where are the people who matter? A lack of interest last time and nothing yet this time. Come on, there are enough people showing a desire to ride this thing so why no comment from the comic?

only just seen this thread, can't get much further than the coast than here in midlands so I'd be willing to do a stretch on my trainer in the garage. Seriously I'll be keeping an eye out on this thread wouldn't mind helping out.

Just to confirm,
I can't be involved, as Campag Chris says I live in Ireland now, but happy for anyone to use the routes planned.

If you want to get the comic involved you need to e-mail or PM someone involved.
I've just realised its clockwise where I live that's harder work! (Usually)
The relay might have to be virtual, although recorded photographically perhaps.
Someone needs to take on the organisation if we're going to do it, but not me thanks.

Don't fret, onlyme. I live in the Midlands too. Just give it a few more years of global warming - especially with El-Cid and chums driving to the ends of the earth for sportives! - then the entire South and East of England - whoopee London too! will be under water and we'll be able to put our names down for the White Peak Coast or the Costa del Wrekin!!

Could someone start a new thread for this please and make it a sticky. Its crazy trying to wade through 11 pages a year old. Its very confusing particularly for new members. Have a look at this link Cycling Weekly Coastal Relay Map
I've entered my stretch right at the bottom .I am pretty sure that anyone can edit the map to enter their stretch. Might be best if someone volunteers to enter the routes so the map doesn't get spammed or screwed up
One other idea .What about trying to get 2x riders for each stretch so they can either ride together or if one rider drops out of any stretch we have another rider to take over immediately

Just how "coastal" does it have to be? I think the North West might be a bit of a problem with not many people there and a LOT of coastline!

I said I will be going from Fort William to Cape Wrath in the summer, that takes care of that area, If I'm bored I might do more!

Hi again, as before I'm happy to do the bit from Boston to Kings Lynn. Also if required I'll do the bit from Kings Lynn to Cromer and if hopper wants some company I'll try to keep up . To make life simple I'll try to fit in with everyone else regarding when this is going to take place, the only time I cannot do it is from the 5th August to the 30th August.

Andy I have put a link in my post to a googlemap which you can add your route to. Its about 6 posts back. All you need to do is zoom in on your area of the coast and draw your route on the map.

Nick Sanders of http://www.nicksanders.com/ did "Around the coast of Britain " in 22 days on his own in 1984, the distance was 4802 miles and he a averaged 228 miles a day starting and finishing in Blackpool. Nick now uses a motorbike to get around as you can see by his website. His book on the ride is still around.

Hi guys,
I've been away for a while, and to be honest I'd completely forgotten about this. I'm still up for it, and willing to ride the section I put in last year. 'NeilC', thanks for the offer... It would be great to ride with company. The only downer for me, is that I work in the oil industry, which means I'm away quite a lot.
Is this still a goer????
