OK, but http://www.deutschland-tour.de/startliste.86.html is not a definitive list - see CSC line-up @ http://www.teamcsc-saxobank.com/races.asp?r_id=1464 for instance

Beware predictors, on the race website one of the stages is described as:-
"Flat up to wavy; the ascent top the Konigstuhl will cause prior efforts of runaways"
So thats a stage for the runaways then. They must have David Harmon writing the stage descriptions.

I'm afraid it's a trade secret Wuv. I could tell you but twa would have you assassinated shortly afterwards. Anyway Today's results for stage 6. 1. Veikkanen 2. Iglinskiy 3. Hupond 4. Lastras 5. Pauriol 6. Mengin
So that's a big fat nought for everyone then, which means a nice easy cut and paste of yesterday's overall
Results after stage 6 1.Pondweed, paulypaul, fozzie, ACNBugno 18pts 2.twa 17pts 3.Bluebeard 14pts 4.Wuverley 12pts 5.Fizban; Jonporter; El_Cid; Slowhand; Eric09 8pts 6.MsTree; Daveno7; Bfergie 5pts 7.Bigoldetc 3pts 8.Dang 2pts Grupetto: Smokin-Joe, AlanR, winegoblin, Cacophony, GP98 0 pts

Results Stage 7 1.Auge 2.Hupond 3.Da Balto 4.Frohlinger 5.Knees 6.Voight
So at last Voight brings some satisfaction to all those who predicted him. El_Cid; AlanR; Cacophany; Bigoldetc; Daveno7; Bfergie; Paulypaul; Wuverley; Eric09; Fozziebear; GP98; Dang; JonPorter; ACNBugno; Slowhand: Smokin-Joe. ONE POINT
Overall after 7 stages 1. PaulyPaul; FozzieBear; ACNBugno 19pts 2. Pondweed; twa 17pts 3. Bluebeard 14pts 4. Wuverley 13pts 5. JonPorter; El_Cid; Slowhand; Eric09 9pts 6. Fixban 8pts 7. Daveno7; Bfergie 6pts 8. MsTree 5pts 9. Bigoldetc 4pts 10.Dang 3pts 11.Smokin-Joe; GP98; AlanR; Cacophany 1pt Gone Home. Winegoblin 0pts So with just a 35km TT to go Gerdemann remains in number one spot for GC whilst Brajkovic (twa) is at about 20secs. Everyone else is nowhere.

Stage 8 (TT) Result 1.Martin 2.Grabsch 3.Larsson 4.Gerdemann 5.Karpets 6.Lovkvist Points for stage 8 Pondweed; Paulypaul; Fozziebear; Fizban; ACNBugno 3pts
Overall stage points after stage 8 1. PaulyPaul; FozzieBear; ACNBugno 22pts 2. Pondweed 18pts 3. Twa 17pts 4. Bluebeard 14pts 5. Wuverley 13pts 6. JonPorter; El_Cid; Slowhand; Eric09 9pts 7. Final results will follow as soon as I find a source for KOM and Points jersey results. But expect to see GC points for the Gerdemann group (1st on GC) twa (3rd on GC)Wuverley (6th on GC). Everyone else - don't hold your breath

After much fishing around for a site showing final placements, twa has come to the rescue and pointed me in the right direction. So scores for GC/Points and KOM are as follows
The Gerdemann group picks up points in all three cats. Pondweed; Paulypaul; Fozziebear; Fizban; ACNBugno = GC 50pts, Points 15pts, KOM 12pts. Total 77pts The Brajkovik group also picks up points in all three cats. Twa = GC 40pts, Points 8pts, KOM 8pts. Total 56pts. The Rujano Group scores in GC. Wuverley 25pts All other predictors didn't feature.
So when added to the stage scores the final standings for the Tour of Germany are: 1. Paulypaul; Fozziebear; ACNBugno. 99pts 2. Pondweed 95pts 3. Fizban 88pts 4. Twa 73pts 5. Wuverley 38pts 6. Bluebeard 14pts 7. JonPorter; El_Cid; Slowhand; Eric09 9pts 8. Daveno7; Bfergie 6pts 9. MsTree 5pts 10.Bigoldetc 4pts 11.Dang 3pts 12.Smokin-Joe; GP98; AlanR; Cacophony 1pt 13.The scorer unbelievably gets 0pts
So with rumours of gaps closing at the top of the leaderboard has El_Cid done enough to hang onto the lead. Fozziebear must be delighted with the outcome of this race and we mustn't forget the darkhorse, Paulypaul who must also be closing in on El_Cid after this performance. Congratulations also to ACNBugno on a fine performance.
