I've been obsessed by my weight for a while now (well 4 years actualy). I'm trying to get down to my personal ideal about 11 stone , last winter i was there, but since spring i've PUT ON another stone, that is despite upping my riding time 3 fold.
However there is an up side. I've got a lot quicker. A route that took me 1:01:00 in the middle of June can now be done in 52:37:81.!!

Yup muscle is way heavier and legs have lots of muscles! Everything is power to weight, if you are adding muscle you will be able to power into the wind and along level ground much better than before and just have to limit your losses on the hills against the twigs and hope for a headwind on the way home, power is also good for short steep climbs. I still do some weight training to keep the power high! Also when losing weight you were in a calorie deficit so less fuel for the fire, feed the fire, unleash the fury!! ROAR!!!

I thought Chris Hoy had normal legs, it's you lot that are wierd!! I was trying to think of any animals with big legs but my partner says they would have to be some wierd mutation to compare.. Calf measurement is 17" so legs are in proportion...not sure with what but they are in proportion!
So what's the norm out there?
