Is Hutch going to Varese?
      #33552 - 07/09/2008 23:13

I know he isn't but why not. He is the British Champ again, Let him go, Millar won't do any better. (No offence Hutch, or Millar). In fact you could both go and then us fans will see if there is a difference.

British testers have a poor record when they come up against continental pro racers. On closed roads there's no traffic to suck you along!

Lionel Birnie predicted that someone would post this thread last week!

"But the problem is, when selection for the World Championship time trial comes round the fact that Millar, Wiggins, Cummings and Thomas were absent will be forgotten and the noisy clamour for Hutchinson, or whoever, to go to Varese will start. It's so predictable I should probably just start the thread on the CW forum now."

Yes I read that. So I started it, when Hutch won. My point still holds good, let them both go.

No? Dave Brailsford is actually Rick Wakeman - he just shaved everything off and changed his name so that he could be taken seriously.

Plus there are big hills to go up. And corners to go round. And foreign TTs happen during the day, rather than in the middle of the night.
