I heard a rumour that entry had already opened, and it would appear to be true.
https://www.sportident.co.uk/entries/event.php?event_id=144
3 routes this time: 70, 100 and 145 mile options. More details here:

Despite the obvious temptation to enter for the full-on challenge, I think I will reign myself in and go for the midi route. Will be a shame to miss the Bwlch y Groes, but that distance and severity will still be beyond me come next June, I'm sure.

Go on. Lets do it Sly. 9 months to steadily build up for it. It will be nice and sunny, not rainy like this year. There's just the right distance between feed stops. Job's a good un.

I'll see how the training goes. I'm sure I can step up the registration from Midi to Mega if I suddenly develop superhuman strength and endurance over the next few months.
I'm unsure how the hill top finish will work, if the carpark is back in Ruthin. Dave Lloyd seemed to suggest that you would simply carry on down the otherside, turn right and head back into Ruthin. Sounds easy enough, but that's a good few miles and it's not entirely downhill or flat. So, that's more than 150 miles with the last few after you've stopped, eaten, and stiffened up. If that is the plan, I'll be parking a car at the top of Moel Famau and leaving it there ready.
Are you still thinking DLMC followed by Marmotte 2 weeks later?

Go for it Sly! Leave the car at Ruthin - there will be time to have a pause, a bite to eat and savour the atmosphere at the finish, then its mainly a downhill trundle back to the HQ.
We are looking at the double header of DLMC and the Marmotte. There are possibly half a dozen of our group who are keen. If it comes off, then these two events will form my big aims for 2009. It will be tough as although we have done quite a few sportives, long distance is not really my thing. My training is fitted into a daily one hour slot (2hrs on Sat , 3-4 hrs on Sun) and I suffer on climbs and distance! However, I really enjoy it! I enjoy the countryside, the camaraderie, trying to race my chums, in fact simply being on my bike.
So , yes, still planning on it.
