Hi, I entered not really thinking I'd get in.. but I have! So now I'm going to have to go through with it and, to make matters worse, I start 1 minute after Matt Clinton so everyone will notice how much faster he is than me!.. I'll put a report of sorts on my blog .. www.pennyfarthingmadness.blogspot.com

Drawkrb, I'll be going over via Cutthorpe, Beeley Triangle & Flash Dam to the council offices 1/2 way up the hill. Keep your eyes open for a maroon Edison with a fat 50something on top If the weather's reasonable I might have the wife with me.

I'll leave N. C'field about 10 ish and take it easy - forecast gives a 25mph headwind so I'll leave plenty of time.

We had Bill Bell as a probable from his timing past us by the council offices just above the 1/2 way mark. It was certainly damn close. Warmed up yet Draw?

He got it by a second I think Bell was second. Dobbin was 4 seconds down at the half way, dont know about the final time.
We stayed at half way until no. 98 who was a DNS (shame relly as Peter was the only one I knew personally)
After that we went to the top corner and happened to be stood next to Clintons lot. I have to say he looked good at that point. We were also VERY impressed with the 12 year old James Knox who looked like he was flying.
My 2 boys really enjoyed it. Anyone know where I can get 2 cheap road bikes!

We gave DaveP a good shout but I think he was suffering too much to notice. Add-on, you must have walked past us, our bikes were leant on the cafe window on the topside of the crossroads.
