West Yorkshire police have just awarded a rather irresponsible Range Rover a Section 59- meaning if he reoffends in the next year (such as deliberately overtaking towards an oncoming lone and very visable cyclist forcing him off the road) then he will have his vehicle confiscated. no witnesses were present and thankfully the police investigated it gave me the choice of either going to court or giving the Section 59, as no witnesses were present i chose the latter. I urge anybody else in a similar situation to put their faith in the local police and raise the profile of such forms of justice.

Boy racers round here do occasionally get their cars confiscated, and even more occasionally destroyed for driving like lunatics.
Good to hear the local coppers are taking bad driving seriously and listening to cyclists, and actually acting on it.

Vickie Pendleton was in the Guardian this week - said when she goes out on a training ride she averages one potentially fatal incident with a car for every hour of riding!!!!! 
Maybe if we all started to report the nutters things might change (not optimistic!)
