Do they mean Lido di Jesolo?

If so we must be told.

9th May: Prologue LIDO DI VENEZIA 21 km TTT
10th May: Stage 1 LIDO DI JESOLO - TRIESTE

LIDO DI VENEZIA - is a long, narrow island that acts as a barrier between the Venetian Lagoon and the sea.

LIDO DI JESOLO - is the biggest summer resort in the Venetian bay with a 13 km long beach. It is 50 km southeast of Venice.

Lido di Venezia is a very short boat ride from Venice itself (about 5mins). Very regular boat service, so no worries about getting out to the Lido from Venice.

As for Lido di Jesolo, I've not been there, but I've heard it's a hole! Also to clarify Helen's post, that should read northeast of Venice not southeast. You can get out to Jesolo from Venice using boat then bus, not sure of the length of time, also think it's only roughly an hourly service on the first (boat) part of the journey.

The Lido di Jesolo is very touristy, or marshy where it isn't. The ride on the ferry is about half an hour, from Venice.

I suppose it depends where you then go, as to how far a good place to watch is. I've been there a few times, its quite a nice place, but, sorry I'd never heard of the Lido di Venezia. Please forgive my ignorance.

Thank you Helen, for your insight, I thought most of the route was still secret. The road nearer Trieste should be more spectacular, for those interested in the picturesque.

Unfortunately, I won't be there, barring Lottery wins.

The venetian libido is quite low.

And the Catholic non self interest clause which is very strong contributes strongly to the lack of Venetian blindness.

Im tired.
