thank you sun am
      #38739 - 02/11/2008 16:39

i have been so well for the last year or so when today i slipped on a corner (by keston parish church)...and when down in a big way.while i gave my head a whack(mrs also a nurse), i would like to argue to with anyone who says a helmet is of little use.Today it did a great job..

the singing in the above church was first class i might add as various se london clubs and individual passed by as i recovered but a wonderful sight was an old portlians older member being helped up a hill by others..you begin to have faith in people seeing this....

anyways i got going again when my rear derailler snapped and left me stranded near west wickam...! this was not a good morning..

i would like to say thank you to the various people both on bike and in a van offering help .this was appricated...thank you again
luckly mrs daveo7 came to the rescue ( my breakdown vechicle!)

Daveno7 - am I mistaken or is that 2 incidents in a week? Are you OK? It is a cliche but stuff does tend to happen in threes...hopefully your derailleur can be counted as the 'third'. You be careful out there.

You do seem to be in the wars. Glad to hear you're surviving.

Helmets, Schelmets, nothing to do with it.

Glad to hear some people helped you out.

Similar to what TVR just said - take care, and let's hope that the deraileur was the third.

thanks for the comments folks -a bit of a sore neck today but i suppose a bit on concussion is a small price to pay - the lid worked well

it means i will be off the bike for a week or so( bike in the shop) - i hope the confidence wont be hit too badly..

cheers ..
