i suppose with their budget they would get the best team that they could...i like the way contador rides but i hope we dont have dominating/boring runs to the tops of stages with the other teams as also rans - this would do little for cycling or our interest ....
have to go out in the morning to do my best contador impression on some hills but i do lack the sleek and tanned body effect so i have to now announce that i wont be ready for selection for astana.
..but in an odd way you have to admire them...

That team sounds good, lets hope they do well.

It seems Haimar Zubeldia has signed, no doubt to fill the team as another Domestique De Luxe, if Conty has Armstrong, Leipheimer, Kloden, Popovych and Zubeldia working for him in the mountains, then damn!

If it seams to the other teams that Astana will be going down the route of US Postal and Discovery before them then it is for them to do their utmost to adopt exactly the same tactics and to develop their own squads with that in mind.

I hope that they do for it could prove very interesting.

Just imagine- no breakaways, every team in crocodile fasion, kamikazi domestiques on every hill and mountain with their leader in tow.

Somehow I believe that this wont come to pass.

After reading the "I'm getting bored with Contador" remark from Bruyneel, could this be a taster for, in the next few months, Astana letting him go?

I'm already sorry for the geezer. I would guess that he could well find himself sidelined, unless, of course he toes the line to superdomestiqueism.
