Don't let the tyres down, keep them over 50psi and rotate them every week so they don't sit on the same spot on the floor, don't hang the bike by the frame either, it causes pressure points.
Make sure everything is clean, wipe some light grease on the bare cables, clean and lube all moving parts, watch for condensation if kept in a metal roofed shed, keeping it in the sitting room and divorce is a better option!

A good clean and lube.
Bike hangers are good, they keep the bike off the ground and stop it getting bashed.
