New routes for Cyclone 2009
      #39763 - 18/11/2008 20:05

The routes for two of the Cyclone sportive rides have been revised for 2009 to make them more interesting and to add a new twist to the 100ml ride. They can be viewed on the website www.northernrockcyclone.co.uk. You can not only view the new routes but also see them in Google Earth and at www.GPSies.com.
Enties are already coming in for this UCI event and it looks like it will be the biggest event to date

Did it last year and doing it again this year, mostly because its on the doorstep but its also quite good - the 62 mile is very good, the 100 scary!!

Its a great weekend.Crits on the friday, sportive saturday, and race sunday.
The sportive is a great day out whatever ride you do.Fantastic scenery, quiet roads, well organised, what more can you ask.Have a look at the profiles on the link to decide which ride you fancy as it looks like someones heart attack chart

As Chris says it's going to be a great weekend. 450 entries so far for the sportive rides with lots more places available - but don't delay entering for too long or you could miss out.
I'm talking to several continental teams and already have one acceptance for the weekend with at least another 2 in the pipeline. They could give the British boys a run for their money on both the friday and sunday.
All we need now is the weather but I've just booked it for the weekend - 28c will that do?

the same weather as last year would be more than adequate but your'e right it is a great well run event on almost traffic free roads with some stunning scenery, it was the 1st sportive we attempted so we opted for the 62 miler - going for the full hog this year
obtw - happy new year to you and your family peter
