Cheap baselayers, or vests as they used to be called before they got expensive.
Anyway, my local (Bromley) Sportsdirect, that cathedral of chavdom, has some decent thermal LS baselayers reduced to £5.99.
As well as a bewildering range of tracksuits and trainers, these places do occasionally sell things for people who actually participate in sport.
Worth a look.
