I got some cheapo ones for about £55. There's enough resistance for what you'll want to use rollers for. Cant remember what make mine are, but I'd say any low end ones are worth a shot - how good/bad can some rollers and a big rubber band be?? If they're not what you want, you'll be able to sell them for the same price on ebay - there are always idiots who'll pay more on ebay than they would googling for a few minutes.

An amusing incident in Pisa. I was parking the car in a large car park near the cathedral and famous leaning tower.
As I was reversing a bloke nipped round the back of the car, nearly getting run over.
My partner said," He's obviously in a hurry to get those hair rollers home." He was carrying a large bag of what might have been hair rollers, I burst out laughing and she asked why.
The man was in fact carrying a large bag of "leaning towers" and was perhaps desperate to restock his stall outside the cathedral.
You don't see that in Canterbury (although, disgustingly, you have to pay to get in now)

You will get a good workout on normal rollers, especially if you adapt your gearing - I've got 50-34, so I've put an 11-21 cassette on for use on the rollers. Turning 50-11 at 100rpm is plenty hard enough. They are really all about pedalling speed. You can't pedal slowly in a big gear, or you will lose your balance. Those with added resistance are pretty expensive too. I bought mine on Ebay for £60, usual cost £100+, and they are fine. They are the parabolic kind, with a lip to stop you going off the edge, but it's not really needed. They fold in half for easy storage. I read somewhere that the larger the diameter of the roller, the better. Metal rather than plastic are supposed to be better too, but I imagine that only makes a difference if you spend half your day on them.

I bought a set of Tacx Antares from Wiggle recently and they seem pretty good. They are the paralletic kind, er, I mean parabolic kind.
They are a bit pricey but I find well worth the investment.
