This seems strange to me as Danielson is Slipstream's best climber (as far as I know) and IMO is the most likely to win a really important stage i.e. Alps or Pyrenees. So why do you think he was not included?

The Tour clashes with an amateur hill climb in Colorado, the type of race where Danielson made his name.
Oh and he's had back surgery.
