Hello,
Planning a trip for my brothers 'bike' stag... going to one of the cross races in Roubaix and doing a 'cobbles' ride... getting the Eurostar to Lille.
Anyone know of a cheapish bike friendly hotel in Lille or nearby?
Don't want to upset anyone with 12 bikes and riders turning up on mass!
Someone has already suggested Roubaix town is a bit of a dump
Any advice?

Lille town centre is quite pleasant and lively, particularly on a Friday night(though not scary like some British towns).
I can't help you with hotels though, I've stayed in a nice one but it wasnt bike friendly. Its a major city, so it might be hard to find a place in the city centre that's bike friendly.

There's a great Youth Hostel near the centre
http://www.fuaj.org/Lille
being 4 trees (*stars) it has small rooms too. 3 -6 beds.
