I get a lot of pleasure from besting 'Kids younger than I', age should not be a limiting factor. My contempories are at least 10 years younger, but I get great pleasure in keeping ahead of them on their favourite segments & KOM in age group :-). Very addictive - watch out! http://app.strava.com/athletes/12248

We've just found it too. It's a brilliant website. Great idea and it looks like it is really starting to take off, we've had several friends mention it to us in last couple of weeks so I think there will be lots of data for people of all ages to compare rides on soon. We'll be using it this summer in the French Alps and there seems to be nearly every main Tour climb already on there with at least 30 people having ridden most of them.

    Definitely worth a look.
There is nothing better than that incredible feeling of summiting a Tour climb with blue skies all around and the sun on your back!

Downloaded strava last month and wow..what an app. I had been using map my ride..but strava is so much more fun. As I discovered the segments and achievements section it has given me more motivation on my ride to work and back..anything between 20 and 35 miles depending on how much tile I have available. As I ride mostly on my own, due to working Nightshift, I find that I try more often to achieve more in the segments marked already and allows me to ride against the clock and people who I don't even know. Virtual training partners abound.

I too have joined the Strava gang. I have a Garmin 705 so have been using their Training Centre and Connect. I like Strava a lot but I finf it a real pain to move all my ride over. 636 rides, so this is something I want to do as little as possible and consequently made me look for Strava equivalents incase there are any better ones. What are peoples views on Endomodo and Sports Tracks?. Happy for people to add me if they want. http://app.strava.com/athletes/762627
You can fall off, but you cant climb off.

I've recently started using strava instead of my runkeeper & like the segment idea. It makes me work harder on my own, than I would normally
