There is some irony in the fact that the kit better resembles the Scottish flag than ours (blue and white for the flag and black for the oil) just at the point where they are about to leave the UK.....
Presumably the next olympics will see all the atheletes wearing red and white.

I can't stand it, I think it looks cheap and poor. I mean, that thing they stuck on the front is mean to be a Union Jack, but...without the red? Instead they replaced the red with black and it just looks stupid, it doesn't symbolize the UK one bit...

You would have thought since we are hosting the Olympics, we would have gone for a more traditional look. I can only just make out the Union Jack, I bet the foreign countries are going to have a bit of a job working out who we are :L

On the other hand it is perfect. A perfect complement to the cringeworthy "2012" logo - in itself a pathetic, pseudo arty attempt to engage the "yoof" by making it look like graffiti. It still looks like Lisa Simpson doing something naughty.
I went to the British Museum yesterday, where there is a small Olympic exhibit, featuring this year's medals and some items from 1948. The contrast is stark, to say the least.
