    Re: 2 Schwalbe Lugano Tyres

I've got some luganos which ride slowly but are perfectly safe. I didn't deliberately buy them and I don't see any reason to.

The easiest thing you can do to make a bike feel good is buy quality tyres. Vredestein Fortezza Tricomps are very good. (Other tyres are available)

OK.. so are these tyres any good in the wet?? We got two people saying they are useless..one who came off and the other saying the tyres give you no confidence. I haven't used mine yet (cheap if anyone wants them!!) and i'd rather buy some more Lithiums (which i know stick like glue) than risk a dodgy tyre. The corners around here are bad enough with all the stones/potholes so i don't need slippy tyres as well....

Just done a quick 'google' and everyone says they last well and are pretty puncture resistant, but had one say they were bad in the wet and everyone else seems to just ride in the dry!

I've only rode mine in the dry once lol My last run included 6inch deep puddles and never once did I feel as if the tyres were going to let me down. (Excuse bad pun)

They're the rigid ones,so i bet the postage will be stupid, and you'll probably be better going with the link at the beginning of this thread.
I can't remember how much i paid for them..probably £20 the pair from one of the well known freepost cycling outlets on the web.. so i'd probably be looking at just getting my cash back (or close enough)... but due to the postage it'd have to be collect only, sorry Rob.

..just rechecked the price on the link.. and it's cheaper then i paid for my tyres!
