I read that. Now if only I'd given my earnings away all my life. Then borrowed them back thus avoiding tax I would be much better off now. And a lot of his income is from our tax rescued banks as well - double whammy!!

And surely the point about Jimmy Carr is his hypocrisy in taking the right on, PC, alternative comic p*ss out of others who have been doing exactly the same as he has.
To my knowledge, Chris Hoy has not sounded off about other peoples tax affairs. And on the face of it, his statement appears to give the lie to the Guardian in any case - not the first time that has happened either...
I've not read the specifics but if the system allows people (anyone) to take advantage to reduce their tax bill then the system is wrong and not the people concerned.
