I've been thinking of doing this for some time now.I admit to not having ridden lots of bikes to compare this one to so if I am a bit biased, sorry.
The frame is the EPQ,I believe the rear triangle is taken from the C59 model and the internal routing of the gear cables from the same to update it from the EPS. The groupset is Campagnolo Super Record. When first out on this bike I couldn't believe how light it felt(just a shade over 7kgs) the fact I was still recovering from a Hernia operation( Sept.2nd) meant I couldn't push things at all, only easy gears, but that way I got the feel of the bike gradually.Everything I expected from the Groupset was as I hoped it would be,just brilliant,OK for the cost it should be!! the changes were smooth and precise, just a tweek here and there after a few weeks when things had settled in.Cross winds were a bit of a scare at first with the top of the forks being wide, but keeps you focused!!,climbing seems a bit easier than on the alloy frame(now the Winter steed).Handlling is just a joy, corners like it's on rails, hands off the bars and it steers it's selfhandlebars and stem are Deda Zero 100,a nice shallow drop bar, ideal for us with shorter arms, and comfortable curves.Ergo levers are very comfortable and levers easy to operate, the brakes don't half do their job, thankfully with some of the Muppets behind the wheels of some vehicles !! Saddle has been changed to a Prologo Nago evo, took a wee bit of getting used to but like it now.Tyres are Michelin Pro 3,upgrading to Pro 4 next.
All in all I love this bike, just wish the weather would improve to get out more often.
PS. Kept up the Italian theme with the bottles and cages (Elite)
