    Sora Shifters 3500

    Hi,

I have just had fitted a new set of Sora Shifters 3500. They work fine but I do get a small plastic rattle sound coming from each when riding over really rough surfaces. I think it is the plastic covers over the gear indicators. Is this normal?

    Many thanks,

    Dave

No, its not normal or right. Are you sure that it is not the brake lever rattling? Is the brake cable pulled tight when the brake is off? Even the slightest slack in the cable will allow the lever to rattle on rough surfaces

Found it......inside the plastic cover over the gear shift indicators are separate plastic pieces showing the sora name etc. Both of these are not glued in very well and rattle. Small bit of tape has sorted it........but found that when the shifters were fitted one of the small screws holding these plastic covers has been over tighten and stripped the thread......but nothing a bit of glue won't sort out.

No more annoying rattle when going over rough roads!!
