Contact Schwalbe or your retailer, thread shedding was a big Ultremo R1 problem but less so on the ZX...If you're not happy with the tyres they will replace them, losing threads is NOT how any tyre works...it's not like they are spare bits, they are part of the tyre structure!

Are your brakes set up correctly? The pads should be over the shiny metal bits.
