Halfords muck up .......

Long story so i shall keep it short.
Im not much of a cycling entusiast. Always had a mtb not in a big way GT line etc.

so i had a gt idrive comp lying in my garage for 5 years my brother old one which was in good condition.

I bought a Carera virtuoso out of halfords back in late july as i fancied road biking.The chap in the 'BIKEHUT' said he could fix up my Gt idrive after i told him the problems.

So anyway i took away my new bike and handed in my old bike for service.
12 weeks past and tbh i forgot about the bike,So i called up and they had no info on the system about the bike so i asked to speak to the manager.
The manager said the bike has no reference,not in system etc and was going to get scrapped.He said it had alot of stuff off the shelfthat was 'missing' stock on it.

Tried to charge me £273 to get the bike back as is. Told him no chance bike wasnt worth that.So we agreed to strip bike back and give me it back no charge.

Went in tonight to see the manager to see how the bike was getting on.Manager wasnt in and one of the workers gave me my bike back.Complete with all the parts on it said thats it ready to go.As it wasnt on the system anymore there is no balance to pay on it.

Turns out that halfords sacked most of their workforce 10 weeks ago as there was alot of dodgy stuff going on which my bike got mixed up in.My bike was deleted off system and no one knew whos bike it was until i phoned up.

So now i have my bike back.with decent spec parts on it.They dont have any of my details to bill me all they have is my mobile number.
