The same situation as when the BLRC had to be created of which LVRC & TLI are direct descendants. BC can't see how much damage they are causing.

CiCLE Classic in trouble, if only there were a large lottery funded organisation available to bail it out !
...for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

I remember reading in CW that BC limited the field in the Cicle classic as they didn't think it made for good racing - either last year or the year before. So basically because the organiser has lost a pile of revenue from the extra entries the event is now in trouble.

    Short sighted or what BC?

That would be using the BC/Clewes special relationship? http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/...in-danger.html

I'm new to cycling, could somebody tell me if the quality of the Tour Series races are of a similar level to the Premier Calendar and how they seem to be doing okay but the Calendar isn't?

Buzz, congratulations to you for being part of the Tour of the Kingdom. I rode a few times ( only as canon fodder mind) and it was amongst the best run races I have ever done. I still have my Tour of the Kingdom coasters as keepsakes. Great place for a bike race, Fife.
I rode for the Yorkshire team and Trevor Gatehouse was our manager, a really decent sort. He was unable to hide his disappointment at my underwhelming performances, fair enough I suppose!

Hopefully the general renaissance of cycling will result in more top end races being promoted again.

Premier Calendar / Elite Crit Series is back on Eurosport this year, highlights a week after the race - http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/roa...-road-season-0
