    Wink BEST Xmas present!!

We already had the worst Christmas present thread so seeing as I've just got an absolute beauty (and want to gloat a bit) Let's do the BEST ones we've got!

Mine isn't officially a Christmas present but more a "well deserved" little something that can be used and abused for pretty much as long as I like!! As most know I've been in the market for a 29" hardtail MTB, I considered a £860 Forme Alport 1, then the £1600 Winscar 29 but the lovely folks at Forme sent me this beauty. The Winscar 29c ...the CARBON top of the line beast with a RRP of £3500!! Stans wheels (1345g) which are lighter than any of my road wheels, carbon frame, carbon fork steerer, lots of Shimano XTR and FSA SLK carbon cranks!!! It arrived yesterday, It weighs under 10kg and absolutely FLIES!!! Drool away...One happy happy Fergie!!!

You lucky so-n-so. Thought it was going to be a full-suss? Although, I'd prefer a hardtail. I'm drooling now!

    Happy Chrismas Fergie.

Anyone need a loan? Not me! I'm better at budgeting my money than anyone in the country; well, there's not a great deal to budget.

I'll pass on the loan, but will take the cash interest free and promise to put it to good use. Another trip to Europe in early 2013 would be lovely.

Agreed! Always save for everything I've ever owned; except the House Mortgage. Would need to save for awhile to get a new MTB like your new mount.

Mostyn, I'm the same. Unusual for my generation of 'buy now, pay laters' but it's how I was raised - only spend what you can afford and pay cash for. Never had a personal loan, and pay off credit card in full each month. Only debt is mortgage for house (bought when 28). Sometimes think I belong in a past era.
