I have a black tyre print down the front of my white jersey. The washing machine doesn't touch it, but it'd be a shame to have to ditch the thing. It's not a big problem at the moment as I'm wearing a jacket over it, but in the summer I look bad enough in lycra as it is without a tyre print over my belly! Any tips for removing it?

Have you tried spray on Vanish in a pink spray gun? Also, in some larger supermarkets they have small boxes of specific stain remover for ink, blood, wine etc. I think they do one for tougher stains which might work for you.

If it's dirt or mud, or even a stain, Vanish or Bi-carb will do the trick. Now if your stain is oil based, you can only fade it slightly; and wont remove it completely

Rob, not sure if they sell 'SARD WONDERSOAP' in UK - but if they do, get your hands on some of that, wet fabric and rub some in.

Alternatively, try a good old white rubber/ eraser. Buy a good quality pure white one from a newsagency or stationery store and try that on dry fabric. Given both stain is rubber based, as is eraser, one may work to lift off the other. This theory works for things like blu tac (ie: if you have some that's been long stuck to a wall you use another bit of fresh blu tac to remove it). It's a long shot, but worth a go!

If you try everything and still can't get the stain out, perhaps run tyre all over shirt and create a new design. Dare to be different - you might just start a new fashion trend.
