No need for dope these days; just get some Shergar Burgers down you, and you'll be averaging 30,mph in no time.

Does this mean that the UCI isn't that bad after all (at least compared to all the other governing bodies)?
Prevalence of corruption in sport is pretty weel known. There have been accusations against bodies such as FIFA and the IOC for years. So not surprised by recenr revalations that organised crime is involved in sport and I've always suspected that drugs are prevalent in athletics, going back at least to the 1970s and probably much further.
Probably been eating it for donkey's years so getting the full benefit of it now...... Hence, only way is down.
None of this really bothers me at all but it does make you wonder how far this kind of thing extends. Anyone for donkey? Just how much pork is actually in a hot dog?
So called ethical produce is rife for exploitation. For example just how free range were those chickens and dolphin friendly is that tuna?. And then there is all of the fair trade stuff people pay a premium for....... I don't believe a word of it

I've been a vegetarian for 30 years so it's probably been a long time since I've eaten domkey.
Unless Paul McCartney and the rest have been trying to make their burgers more "genuine" somehow....
I think the point about fair trade products is that they are traceable, so they are probably sourced from where they claim to be. Organic, on the other hand, is about as nebulous a term as you can find.
I thought Millar had admitted cheating? (Partially anyway)
Point I am making is that controls on these things are pretty weak... What's to stop an unscrupulous supplier from mixing the ethical stuff with the bogus stuff. i.e. just like beef and horsemeat.
Trouble with initiatives like fair trade is that it depends upon the honesty of the officials running the system. All this Fair trade stuff comes from the 3rd world, where corruption is rife. Not too difficult to pay an official to get the fair trade stamp of approval. You can bet that a lot of dodgy dealing is going on there.
Also for Veggies... you can bet that the organic food market is equally dodgy... pretty easy for someone, say a farmer or distributor to buy extra stock and add it to legit stuff and sell it on at a good markup.... Who's going to know?
I guess his problem is to explain why he and his team is still competitive with the dopers now that they are clean. He seems to be saying that its all down to tech advances..... Presumably similar to Skys marginal gain malarchyI thought Millar had admitted cheating?
As in the comment about uncovering things in other sports: well IMO there is nothing to uncover its plain for all to see
Marion Jones
Ben Johnson
80s Eastern Europe
Carl Lewis
Paul Sherk
Linford Christie
Dwain Chambers
Christina Ohrrugo (?)
swimmers
Boxers
The US baseball Barry Bonds saga.
and 1001 others. The point is no amount of tech will stop it. The problem is there for all to see. The thing that is blinding the people that could do something about it IMO, nothing more than £ &**8364; $.
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
Tennyson
Nothing to uncover? Hah! All of the above pale into insignificance with cycling's record!
Puerto implicated world class footballers and tennis players and was swept under the carpet! Golf is reputed to be rife with doping, world class Rugby I bet has a lot to answer for, the way these guys recover is incredible. If there are plenty of revelations to come out other professional sports, good! Hopefully the drugs police have their way.
Heading into a personal headwind....
