    Re: SPOTY POLL

A couple of times over the last few days I have though that I might change my mind and vote for Hoy just because it would make victory for a cyclist more likely, but after hearing some of the arrogant emotional blackmail posted here and other places about our "duty" to vote a certain way I am sticking with my original intention to vote for the person who most deserves it.

    Nicole Cooke.
save your phone bill. she won't win. Might as well vote for Lewis Hamilton instead!!

Yup, I agree, this win at all costs is total bollocks. The editorial in this weeks comic should have been signed Garbage, not Garbutt!

True, very unfair having a competition isn't it? And we wonder why we struggle to find winners in this country these days!

erm, plenty of winners of late, did you not see the final Olympic table? - observancy isn't a strong point of yours is it, as you have already proved with your comment on Hoy dwarfing Nicole's achievements.

    Who was 3rd last year?
Who was first? It's a completely irrelevant and pointless "competition", IMO.

How many olympic medals did Nicole win? How many world titles did she win.

    Compare these to Hoys.

    Re: SPOTY POLL

I think Cav's achievements this year have dwarfed Hoy's, in spite of winning no medals.

And road titles are worth far more than anything on the track.
