I'm living in London about 18 months now, and even in that spell, I perceive a growth in cycling figures. Compared to this time a year ago, there seem to be more on the commute, at all hours. The increase (based solely on observation and speculation) seems to be across the boards of those who are clearly casuals, to outdoorsy types to committed cycle racer types.

What makes this seeming increase even more impressive is comparing the weather with then, when it was actually a little bit less like rain than it has been the past few weeks. Hopefully, for whatever reason, cycling is slowly becoming one of the main self-itinerised (if medal can be a verb, so can itinerary) form of transport here in London.
